Formed in 2025, the AI HEART Project was founded by a small group of independent researchers from various backgrounds who are interested in working to improve the safety of AI technology. The word HEART is an acronym standing for Human-Empathetic AI Research & Technology.

The Team
Yasmin
Yasmin is a medical doctor with many years of experience in the field of psychiatry and psychotherapy. She has extensive experience working with suicidal patients as well as patients with addiction problems. Yasmin also has experience coordinating projects to digitalize hospitals and pandemic response processes, helping to bridge her experience with the fields of medicine and technology.
Scott
Scott is an experienced software engineer with expertise in application security, software architecture, and a broad range of software development practices. With experience performing penetration testing, building security frameworks and policies, and leading cyber incident analysis and response, Scott is able to uniquely apply traditional software development skills, including building agentic systems, with software security.
Scott is currently focused on researching and building safeguards for LLMs and agentic systems as well as LLM-based content classification systems.
